Information from the central module administration

Information from the central module administration can be found on the central module administration page, in particular a guide to module administration (description for module managers and input representatives for requesting and changing modules in the module database) and a glossary (definitions of terms) for module administration.

Creating new modules

Module responsibles can create new modules themselves in the Info-Portal Teaching (use BTU account, set role "Module responsible" at the top right). However, new modules can also be created via the input representatives:

Changing module descriptions

ÄModule supervisors can change modules themselves in the Teaching Info Portal (use BTU account, set "Module supervisor" role at the top right). Exceptions to this are the header and organizational data. Changes can also be made via the input representatives:

Header data (i.e. short title, module title, academic year, credit points) cannot be changed. The module cycle, teaching language and duration can only be changed in rare cases (by the central module administrator, the various POs must be taken into account, if necessary send an email to the module coordinator of the faculty.

Changes can be viewed by all module coordinators once they have been entered, provided they are logged in. They only become visible to the outside world after approval by the central module coordinator at BTU. New modules can only be entered during the application period (15.04. to 15.06. or 01.11. to 15.01).

There is now only one module title. This is the title that will later appear on the certificate. The title must always be given in English and German, even for English-language modules. (Short titles and long titles are omitted.)

For modules taught in German, the module description must be written in both German and English (see the minutes of the Presidential Board of January 27, 2011).
