Thank you for 2025!
Milestones
- There are now 15 colleagues in our project team who are working hard and diligently to build the Lausitz Science Park.
- This year, we have taken decisive steps towards the foundation of Lausitz Science Park GmbH: The business plan has been drawn up and the draft resolution has gone to the first votes.
- In July, a grant notification of around € 5 million for the development of the LSP core area was handed over to EGC in July - an important signal for the next expansion stage of the science and technology park.
- At the same time, we have given the LSP a brand identity and a visual image - with visible with visible success: the new corporate design was honoured at the "Corporate Design Prize 2025".
- Together with partners from science, business and two Polish science park friends, we have worked on various funding applications to further develop our diverse park ecosystem.
- To strengthen the Lusatian start-up ecosystem, we have launched the Innovators Club in addition to our extensive support for STAR*PARADE. At the first event as part of the Innovators Club - the OPEN AGENTATHON - teams from all over Germany, Switzerland and even Australia took part.
National and international alliances
- The year started with a visit to the Lakeside Science & Technology Park in Klagenfurt (Austria) to seal the cooperation in the areas of research, development and sustainable innovation. Who would have thought that Lusatia and the region around Lake Wörthersee have a lot in common? In the summer, we intensified our collaboration together with a scientific delegation. A key topic: the innovative capacity of peripheral regions.
- We then travelled to the Science City Hamburg-Bahrenfeldwhere we were able to see an impressive example of how cutting-edge research, teaching and urban development can go hand in hand.
- After travelling to the south and north, we visited the west of Germany, the RWTH Aachen Campus and RWTH Innovation as well as the Brainergy Park Jülich - with a clear objective: to gather impetus for the development of the Lausitz Science Park.
- Also on the itinerary were visits to the Park Technologiczny Interiorin Nowa Sól, Poland, at IPAI in Heidelberg and in the Midwest of the USA.
Inspiring visits
We also welcomed numerous interested visitors to the Lausitz Science Park this year:
- Representatives from the Clean Energy Valley Schleswig-Holstein
- Researchers with their Lusatian delivery robot
- Representatives of science parks from France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Germany for the peer review
- A delegation from the Upper Silesian industrial region of Katowice as part of the tour "Transformation in Lusatia" tour
- the Pegasus annual conference
These valuable impulses give us a tailwind to strategically develop the Lusatia Science Park as an innovation driver for the region.
Conferences, trade fairs, events
In 2025, we worked hard to publicise the location and the Lausitz Science Park innovation ecosystem around the world. To this end, the LSP team was represented at numerous events, both as participants and with its own exhibition stands:
- At the property fair Real Estate Hannover we joined forces with other companies, municipalities and institutions from Lusatia to present our "cool" region.
- The GITEX Europe together with players from the Lusatian start-up ecosystem.
- With the Decarbon Days in June, we were able to turn the LSP site into a stage for sustainable technologies for the first time.
- At the STAR*PARADE 2025 we were once again part of the core organisation team and achieved a new record number of participants with exactly 100 applications.
- We took part in traditional formats: European conference of the International Association of Science Parks, Night of Creative Minds, chesco contact conference, BTU summer party, Lausitz Forum 2038, STARKE Projekte
- And organised their own events: Lausitz Science Park Energy System Workshop
- More than 2,500 people now follow us on social media.
- The Lausitz Science Park has been mentioned around 70 times in the regional, national and international press.
We wish all our colleagues and partners a relaxing festive season. Here's to an inspiring 2026!
