The aim of the project is to develop an entrepreneurship indicator for Lusatia, with the help of which the multi-layered determinants of entrepreneurship and the various dimensions of entrepreneurial performance for Lusatia can be quantitatively recorded and summarised in key figures. This should initially make it possible to gain a precise insight into the status quo and recognise the strengths and weaknesses of the region. With the help of such tools, the quality of Lusatia as a business location can also be communicated very effectively. This also improves the information basis for efficient regional policy and, ideally, makes it possible to utilise regional policy resources and measures locally in a more targeted manner, thereby improving regional growth prospects. Such an indicator also offers the opportunity to easily track the development of regional location quality as well as entrepreneurial performance over time.
