With the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) year 2014 the Chair of Civil and Public Law with reference to Environmental and European Law was able to conduct two DAAD Summer Schools and seminars respectively.

From March to April, the international DAAD and BTU Alumni Seminar "Intensifying Utilisation of Renewable Energy Technologies for Propelling Development of Asian Developing Countries" took place in Cottbus and Hannover.

From August to September the international DAAD Summer School "Sustainable Land Use and Integrated Water Resource Management" took place at the Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik/ Beirut.
