The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) e. V. :

• Is a joint institution of German universities which promotes the international relations between German universities and other countries. 
• Through the exchange of students and scientists, and through international programs and projects. 
• Maintains a worldwide network of offices, lecturers and alumni associations and offers information and advice locally.
• Is an intermediary organization for foreign cultural policy, higher education and science policy, and development cooperation in higher education.

For several years, the German Academic Exchange Service has been supporting the Summer Schools of the Chair of Civil and Public Law with references to environmental and European law at the BTU Cottbus and BTU Cottbus-Senfenberg and its cooperation partners.
