| Learning Outcome: | The participants develop comprehensive knowledge on how to devise projects of maintenance and consolidation of historical structures, safeguarding the historical and monumental value. This includes detailed analyses, methodology of intervention, understanding of the special conditions of historical and traditional construction systems and their materials, study of possible alternatives of interventions in restoration or consolidation, and finally the concept and elaboration of a proposal for intervention in the conservation of a historical structure or single aspects of it. They will further develop their ability in scientifically based analyses of historical structures, and of formulating their monumental value. They will also further develop their skills in communicating the intervention project and the underlying analyses in a professional debate using appropriate media. |
