Learning Outcome: | The module enables students to assess the energy supply and distribution of a company. Furthermore, they are able to evaluate different consumption profiles. They have knowledge of supply options (markets and products), can structure a supply portfolio (portfolio management) and classify related risks (risk management). In addition, the students learn how to manage a portfolio with power plants (make-or-buy, power plant dispatch optimization) and market flexibility (tendering of control reserve). |

Recommended Prerequisites: | Basic knowledge about the formation of prices on electricity markets (in particular about the "merit order" on the supply side and "seasonality" on the demand side). These can be acquired by literature study or participation in one of the following courses of the modules:
