Contents:The question "What material culture?" has been raised since the 1990s with the emergence of the current of "new materialism". From various disciplinary perspectives, questions are asked about the relationships of humans to technology, nature and the environment in digital and analog space, and proposals for a new location are developed. This module represents a cross-sectional module that teaches basic cultural studies methods and theories for a disciplinarily heterogeneous group of students. Experimental formats in technology studies and in the arts will be explored and tested in practice. Special attention is paid to the exploration of transformative processes in urban public spaces, gardens and parks, current industrial sites (ports, open- cast mining) or industrial wastelands. A concept of student research in the sense of moving teaching and learning is implemented here.
