Learning Outcome: | After successfully completing the module, students have the ability to familiarize themselves with the a targeted application or research-related field. They have improved their research organization and their writing skills as beginning researchers. They can participte in a technical discussion within the context of international science and present their result in written and oral form. In addition, they have acquired individual skills such as diligence, perseverance, time management and initiative. |
Contents: | The module consists of a study project conaining a project planning phase as well as a laboratory phase. At the end of the module the project is presented by a lecture and aresearch-report. The project is usually carried out in the same subject area in which the master's thesis is to bewritten. Under the guidance of a supervisor - normally the students` mentor, the students deal with a scientific question (also from an ethical and social point of view) in this field. |
