Learning Outcome: | After successfully completing the module, students will have in-depth knowledge of methods for analysing text-based, visual and audio-visual formats. They will be able to apply these in the context of media theory issues on the one hand and implement them in a practical film project on the other. Students are able to deal with media and cultural communication from a methodologically well-founded analytical-interpretative perspective and to elaborate on the basis of the practical film knowledge they have acquired (camera, sound, editing). |
Contents: | Film, text and sound analysis, methodology of film, text and sound analysis, narrative analysis, media and cultural theory and, above all, their practical application and elaboration in an AV project or a short film.
