Learning Outcome: | After successfully completing this module, students will be able to:
- Explain key economic concepts, theories, and methods relevant to life sciences and international health, including the principles of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and environmental economics.
- Analyze the economic dimensions of societal problems, including environmental degradation, resource depletion, and health disparities, using economic tools and frameworks.
- Apply economic approaches to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems in life sciences and international health, taking into account the social, environmental, and economic implications of different policy interventions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of economic policies and interventions aimed at addressing environmental and health challenges, using data and evidence-based reasoning.
By the end of this module, students will have gained a comprehensive understanding of how economic principles can be applied to address complex problems in life sciences and international health, and will be able to think critically about the economic dimensions of these challenges. |
