"Forst Industrial Culture" and "Mona Lisa"

Pictures of the "Forster IndustrieFotoTage" project

Selected motifs from the "Forster IndustrieFotoTage" project will be on display at the IKMZ until October 31, 2022.

This project was developed and implemented with civic commitment and a strong networking effort, also beyond the city borders of Forst. Historical objects, especially those shaped by Forst industrial culture, serve as backdrops and were captured as snapshots in their current, sometimes dilapidated state. Different fashion themes characterize these photos. The (hobby) models embody rockabilly, end times, steampunk and fantasy and were staged by photographers from Cottbus, Berlin and Forst (Lausitz), among other places.

In the exhibition, visitors look directly at "Mona Lisa", photographed in the steampunk age. The exhibition includes two motifs from the large exhibition "Steampunk meets Old Masters" and gives a foretaste of the "Night of Creative Minds" on October 15 in Cottbus. At the Cottbus Public Library location, visitors can then experience more than 60 motifs from the large "Steampunk meets Old Masters" exhibition and immerse themselves in the Lusatian steampunk scene.
