Bureau of International Studies (BIS)

The Bureau of International Studies (BIS) is the central facility for all international bachelor and master study programmes at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. It is responsible for the coordination of the international programmes for both foreign and German students.

Amongst its many functions, the BIS is the first point of contact for all prospective students interested in taking part in the different international study programmes offered at the BTU. The team is also in charge of supporting students already enrolled in these international programmes, providing advice and orientation, especially at the beginning of the studies and prior to undertaking semesters abroad as part of the regular studies or Joint and Double Degrees.

The coordinators of the study programmes assist with the smooth functioning of the studies by keeping open communication channels between students and the different administrative bodies of the university, programme directors, examination boards, International Relations Office and service facilities.

The BIS is committed to the strategic further development of the range of international programmes offered at BTU, the strengthening and networking of the existing services as well as the development of new partnerships with various institutions.
