Rejection of application? What now?

Never take a rejection personally. HR managers have to make rational decisions and filter out the one application from the many that best suits the company and the advertised position. Keep in mind that it's not just you who didn't get the job, many others didn't either!

A rejection is not the end of the world. And even if there are phases in which you seem to receive one rejection after another, you shouldn't bury your head in the sand. The motto now is to keep going!
Maybe it wasn't the right job? Use this opportunity to realise what you really want. Not only does the employer need to be convinced of you, but you also need to be convinced of the company and the advertised position. Even a rejection can bring something positive: constructive feedback. Take the opportunity to find out why you were unsuccessful. Please understand, however, if there is not always a concrete answer. Due to time constraints and the fear of being sued under the General Equality Act, it is not always possible to give detailed feedback.

It is often helpful to get support. There is always room for improvement and sometimes an outside perspective is enough. Our Career Centre will be happy to help you with such questions!
