I am a research assistant at the IT Security Chair at BTU. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Kabul University, Afghanistan, in 2015. From 2016 to 2023, I worked in four different organizations, where I was responsible for building, operating, and maintaining IT infrastructure. In the winter semester of 2023, I began my Master’s degree in Cyber Security at BTU.
My current research focuses on the security of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), with particular emphasis on improving anomaly detection techniques by integrating them with protocol reverse engineering. In addition, I am interested in the security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, especially smart home systems and equipment.
Since the beginning of 2025, I have been a member of the Control System and Cyber Security Lab (COSYS Lab) as part of the Energy Innovation Center project. In this role, I conduct research on the security of smart home devices, with a focus on analyzing and understanding the communication protocols used in this domain.
