I am a Junior Researcher at the Chair of IT-Security in BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. I have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India. Later, I completed a Master’s Degree in Embedded Systems from Technical University of Chemnitz. I have worked in the field of Embedded Software Development for 2 years and Artificial Intelligence for three years.
My current research area involves design and development of honeypots for industrial control systems. I am also interested in exploring state-of-the-art applications of machine learning in various sectors such as Automotive, Healthcare, IT-security and so on. My master thesis was on the topic of “Synthetic data generation using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)”. My expertise includes Microcontroller architectures, Internet of Things (IoT), Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Embedded machine learning.
I am currently involved in the Energy Innovation Center Project at the Control Systems and Cyber Security Lab (COSYS-Lab). My main focus is to design and implement a highly interactive and realistic Honeypot that simulates critical infrastructures such as Energy power plants and Water treatment facilities. The goal is to not only simulate underlying devices such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and the communication network but also collect data on the attack process and the attacker.
