I am a junior researcher at the Chair of IT Security. I received my Master degree in Computer Systems and Networks from Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, Ukraine. Currently, I am also pursuing my PhD at the Nova University Lisbon (UNINOVA), Portugal. I am also a member Centre of Technology and Systems (CTS) at the UNINOVA research institute. I participated in several big research projects in the framework of Horizon 2020, such as Zero-Defects Manufacturing Platform (ZDMP) and Virtual Factory Operating System (vf-OS).
My research interests focus on network traffic analysis, analysis of process data derived from Cyber-Physical Systems, and the application of Machine Learning techniques for anomaly detection, with a particular emphasis on Deep Learning methods. Additionally, I explore the use of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for synthetic traffic generation, especially in the context of Industrial Control System (ICS) protocols.
Currently, I am involved in the Energy Innovation Center (EIC) project at the Control Systems and Cyber Security (COSYS) Lab. My responsibilities include synthetic network traffic generation, with a specific focus on Industrial Control System (ICS) protocols. In addition, I work on Federated Learning techniques, focusing on secure and efficient data sharing among federated nodes.
Previously, I was involved in the medCS.5 project on secure 5G communication, contributing to data pre-processing and developing GAN- and Autoencoder-based methods for anomaly detection in encrypted network traffic.
