About me

I am a Research Assistant at the Chair of IT Security. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from UEM Kolkata, India and a Master's degree in Research in Computer & Systems Engineering from Technische Universität Ilmenau, Germany. Over the past few years, through professional and academic roles, I have gained some hands-on experience in software development and IT security. Specifically, my internship in privacy-enhancing technologies, my research project, and Master Thesis acted as the stepping stones towards my interest in IT security.

Research Interests

My current research primarily focuses on machine learning based anomaly detection in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) with an emphasis on energy networks. I am also interested in other topics like network security and privacy-enhancing technologies (anonymous credentials in particular).

Projects

I am involved in the Energy Innovation Center project at the Control Systems and Cyber Security Lab (COSYS Lab). My current work involves explainability of machine learning based anomaly detection in Industrial Control Systems (ICS), with the aim to detect cyber-physical attacks on energy networks early to prevent outage, equipment damage.
