Car-free campus day 2023
For the Germany-wide Car Free Campus Day, the entire central campus of the BTU will remain car-free for the first time on Tuesday, June 20. Accompanying the event, a Market of Opportunities will take place from 11:00 - 14:00 in front of the Interim Dining Hall. A raffle will be held with prizes for all those who give up their cars on this day.
Car-free central campus for a day - How will this work?
We ask you to arrive at the central campus on foot, by bicycle or by public transport on this day. If this is not possible, parking can be found off campus for the day. In consultation with the institutions concerned, the three main entrances to the central campus will be cordoned off this day so that only important deliveries, the fire department and mobility-impaired people etc. can pass through.
Colorful program at the Market of Opportunities from 11:00-14:00
The "Market of Opportunities" will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the interim dining hall at the Fablab. In addition to the raffle with great prizes for all those who arrived without a car, there will be a pop-up self-help bike workshop, a drinks bar, sustainable snacks, as well as information booths from the ADFC, the FabLab and many other groups.
