The joint Graduate School was launched by BTU and the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in January during the introduction week. The GRS provides funding for three of overall seven new doctoral positions.

In 2023, the GRS will award up to four full PhD scholarships for 36 months and up to four short-term scholarships for six months to complete the PhD thesis. The call for applications ends on 5 September 2022.
