Students of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) are allowed to present their start-up ideas in Italy: The winning team "Modeck" will compete in the finals of the EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup on July 18 in Catania. Likewise successful students of the EUNICE Contamination Lab will further develop their ideas in a Summer School from July 10-14.

The success of the energy turnaround through an interplay of energy saving and efficiency with renewable energies is the central theme of the 23rd Brandenburg Energy Day. The motto of this year's event at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is "Shaping the energy turnaround - opportunities and solutions for the Brandenburg economy".

Electrified airplanes, fuel cells, weightlessness and heat accumulators - in the new DLR_School_Lab at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, schoolchildren can now immerse themselves in the world of research.

Interested parties are invited to an open exchange on topics related to climate protection and sustainable development on Thursday and Friday, February 9 and 10, 2023, as part of the BTU4FUTURE Festival at the Cottbus Central Campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

The BTU is involved with two subprojects in the joint project "Kompetenzaufbau für Batteriezellfertigung in der Hauptstadtregion-KOMBiH". The focus is on the development of new qualification programs for skilled workers along the entire value chain of battery technology. The BMWK is funding the two projects with more than 1.1 million euros.

Climate-friendly processes for energy generation, conversion and storage are being developed by researchers at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft together with more than 70 partners from science, industry and society in the joint project SpreeTec neXt. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
