At the finale of STAR*PARADE, the major startup competition in Lusatia, three of the ten best pitches were won by BTU alumni.

On 26 and 27 September 2024, the Lusatian Future Forum on Land Use will take place for the first time at the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg.

With a diverse audience of over 400 guests, the final of the Lusatian start-up competition took place at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg on September 19, 2024. In addition to the selection of the ten best pitches, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the Startup Lausitz start-up ecosystem was signed.

On September 26 and 27, 2024, the first Lusatian Future Forum on Land Use will take place at the Startblock B2 start-up center on the main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Siemens-Halske-Ring 2, 03046 Cottbus. Interested parties can still register until Thursday, September 12, 2024.

Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) and Lausitzer Klärtechnik GmbH (LKT) underline their successful cooperation to date and pave the way for new projects and collaborations with the signing of a joint agreement on August 22, 2024 in Luckau.

A study at the BTU is investigating climate adaptation measures in Berlin from a socio-spatially differentiated perspective. As part of city walks, the project is building on ideas and reflections from the population.

As part of the “support initiative for German schools abroad and partner schools (BIDS)”, high school students from abroad were able to learn about the wide range of courses offered by BTU.

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is once again taking part in the Germany-wide Car-Free University Day on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 11 am to 4 pm. All interested parties are invited to take part in a colorful hands-on program, meeting point: Cottbus main campus, Walther-Pauer-Straße 7, Interims-Mensa/FabLab area (garage complex).

How we can counter the effects of climate change in land use and agriculture is the subject of research in the AgroBaLa project. The project results will be presented to the public at a final event on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the Domin farm in Peickwitz near Senftenberg.
