On the potential of plant biomass for a bio-based industry in Europe

At the end of September 2023, 30 participants from research and industry from six European countries met at the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) in Cottbus to discuss the challenges of the BeonNAT project. Together, they are looking for ways to make industry more sustainable through the use of plant biomass.

1.37 million euros for the conservation of agricultural biodiversity

How biodiversity in intensively used agricultural landscapes can be preserved and increased again in the medium term is being researched by scientists under the leadership of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg in the project "Stabilization and increase of biodiversity and ecosystem services on agricultural land through the creation of diverse agroforestry use structures (SEBAS)".
