BTU Advent calendar

This year, for the first time, a calendar door will open every day at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg: The range extends from video messages and interviews to biscuit recipes. 24 small and big surprises await you.

Only 24 more days, then it's Christmas. Usually we sweeten the Advent season with visits to Christmas markets, excursions and Christmas parties with colleagues, the sports club or friends. Unfortunately, all this will not be possible this year as usual.

But what remains for us - and what makes Christmas Eve even more enjoyable for children in particular - is the Advent calendar. It has been part of Christian tradition since the 19th century. The different variations ranged from 24 pictures on the wall or painted chalk lines on the door, to straws in a manger, to lighting an Advent candle, which was burnt down every day to the mark.

This year, for the first time, a calendar door opens every day at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. From the first to the 24th of December, we will introduce you to students, scientists and staff of our university. Behind each Advent calendar door is a Christmas message, a short interview, a video message or another Christmas surprise. Be curious!
