The European University Alliance EUNICE presents its long-term goals

At the halfway point of the EUNICE project, representatives of the seven universities, including BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, are working on the implementation of the common vision for the future at the General Assembly in Valenciennes, France, from May 30th to June 1st.

The rectors and presidents of EUNICE - European University for Customised Education are meeting face-to-face for the first time at the Alliance's General Assembly, which is being hosted by the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France from May 30th to June 1st 2022. Representatives of all seven partner universities meet to discuss and decide on the possible expansion of the Alliance with new partner institutions, the statutes of the future legal entity of EUNICE and the common long-term strategic vision of the Alliance.

At the same time, 70 members of the partner universities of the EUNICE pilot project are present to further develop ongoing measures, such as the elaboration of joint degrees. The programme includes several workshops on the joint development of study programmes - from bachelor to doctorate - as well as seminars on pedagogical topics.

EUNICE, the European University for Customised Education, has been formed to solve social and economic challenges, both globally and locally. In 2020, EUNICE was selected in the European Commission's second call for pilot projects for European universities. Since then, EUNICE has continued to develop in areas of work such as international mobility, research cooperation (REUNICE) and cooperation between International Relations Offices.

In addition to the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, EUNICE includes the Technical University of Poznań (Poland), the University of Cantabria (Spain), the University of Mons (Belgium), the University of Catania (Italy), the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France) and the University of Vaasa (Finland). The project promotes networking between educational institutions, industrial and business partners and other social, cultural, artistic and sporting actors to respond to social and economic challenges at both global and local levels.
