The Unit for Research Funding at BTU can support you with applications for externally funded research projects. The research service includes the following:
- Application advice and support, primarily for the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the European Commission
- Selection of suitable funding programmes and administrative support
- Support in finding cooperation partners
- Seminar series on third-party funding applications and research ethics
- Financial support, e.g. reimbursement of publication costs
Centre for Continuing Education
The Centre for Continuing Education coordinates the university's internal continuing education programmes. Here you will find programmes for:
- Scientists looking to develop their skills and existing networking opportunities
- Lecturers, with events on topics related to university teaching and courses on innovative and flexible teaching methods
- Staff, with qualification courses and sought-after continuing education programmes, as well as courses offered by the university's organisational units
Central Department Language Centre
Whether for personal interest or in preparation for a research stay, the Central Department Language Centre offers language courses at various levels in Cottbus and Senftenberg, with the option of in-person or online learning. After an appropriate examination, the ZES issues language certificates. There are also opportunities for self-study in a relaxed atmosphere.
German University Association for the Qualification of Early-Career Researchers in Germany (UniWinD)
- Publications and recommendations on topics related to sustainable graduate funding, as well as examples of good practice.
- Statements and position papers on debates in higher education policy
- Events on key topics relating to the promotion of young academics
Tip: UniWiND has launched a series of online events on current higher education policy topics called Lunch Sessions. These events take place several times a year, from 12:00 to 13:00, and are free of charge.
