Learning Outcome:In the research colloquium PhD students develop the ability to understand Heritage Studies in all its facets. Thereby they will be enabled to deepen their own research in one of the focus areas of the IGS Heritage Studies and subsequently to identify the potentials of their personal academic development.
Contents:In the Research Colloquium PhD students receive input from their fellow PhD Students who present their research projects that represent the spectrum of the focus areas of IGS Heritage Studies. Furthermore, they present their different approaches to research and thereby initiate discoursive processes and acquire a deeper understanding of the different focus areas.
Recommended Prerequisites:None
Mandatory Prerequisites:No successful participation in associated follow-up module 12253 Status Seminar Heritage Studies: Progress Reports PhD Thesis.
Forms of Teaching and Proportion:
  • Seminar / 8 Hours per Week per Semester
  • Self organised studies / 240 Hours
Teaching Materials and Literature:Will be announced at the beginning of the seminar.
Module Examination:Continuous Assessment (MCA)
Assessment Mode for Module Examination:
  • Essay, 15-20 pages (50%)
  • Presentation, 15 min. (50%)
