The topic for the master's thesis is presented to an advisory committee consisting of faculty members in the form of a detailed exposé during a preliminary discussion of master's thesis topics. The approximately five-page exposé of the master's thesis topic should contain the following as an initial proposal: problem definition (practical and/or scientific), research questions, research design/methodology, local/regional case study or design area, first and second examiners.
