Learning Outcome:Students will acquire and consolidate fundamental skills which they will need in their professional life. Major emphasis will be placed on skills which the participants need to master typical situations in oral and written form appropriately.
Contents:
  • Understanding texts
  • Acquisition of typical technical terms
  • Improving writing skills (note taking, descriptions, job applications, formal correspondence, writing reports, chart description, structure and style of scientific texts, taking minutes)
  • Improving oral skills (participating in discussions, meeting people, interpersonal skills, giving presentations, telephoning, presenting products, negotiating)
  • Preparation of typical documents and application of typical strategies in a simulation game (founding one's own company)
Recommended Prerequisites:Course participants should have very good knowledge of English on level B2 or C1.
