Learning Outcome: | After successfully completing the module, students are familiar with advanced aspects of pattern formation within theoretical and phenomenological aspects. Intuition, classification and integration of physical insight was provided along the subject of the module.In addition, social competences as teamwork and persistence, but also individual competences as accuracy, curiosity, and working on one's own initiative have been supported. |
Contents: | Convection instability, reaction-diffusion equations, description of spatio-temporal pattern formation, method of reduced equations, Swift-Hohenberg equation, dynamics of liquid films. |
