Learning Outcome: | Goal of the hands-on training is to convey basic knowledge of scientific computing with a focus on the application of CFD software (commercial, opensource and self written). The students work independantly on separate projects, deepen their basic knowledge of CFD methods and learn the sequence of operations of programming, compiling, excecuting codes, and post processing data. |
Contents: | - Basics of Scientific Computung
- Compiler and Makefiles
- Higer program languages (C++ and Fortran)
- CFD Software: OpenFoam, adaptive ODT
- Postprocessing with Python Scripts, VisIt, ParaView
- Scientific Analysis of simulation results
