13572 - Convection in Fluids and Gases Modulübersicht

Module Number: 13572
Module Title:Convection in Fluids and Gases
  Konvektion in Flüssigkeiten und Gasen
Department: Faculty 3 - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Energy Systems
Responsible Staff Member:
  • apl. Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Harlander, Uwe
Language of Teaching / Examination:English
Duration:1 semester
Frequency of Offer: Every summer semester
Credits: 6
Learning Outcome:Based on the fundamentals of general fluid mechanics, the course takes an in-depth look at the phenomena of convection. In this case, the nonlinearity of the equations plays a central role. Goal of the course is to develop a clear understanding of convective processes with application to technical and environmental problems. The physical and mathematical techniques also in view of multi-scale nonlinear interactions will be imparted so that the course participants can apply them to practical problems.
