Learning Outcome:Students know the essential tools for overcoming challenges in the startup process. They are able to develop a startup idea in a team and are enabled within the workshop week to produce a prototype and commercialize it accordingly.
Students are able to organize themselves independently, possess tools to complete tasks within and outside the scope of a university degree program, and have access to advanced soft skills. Additionally, they possess means to complete common assignments for successful completion.
Contents:During the intensive workshop week GETTING STARTED of entrepreneurship, students learn the essential tools for overcoming challenges in the startup process. The focus is on expanding methodological and social skills:
Basics on creative and visualization techniques, project management, self- and time management, learning strategies; insight into a wide variety of soft skill methods and their practical application, such as teamwork, presentation training, rhetoric, feedback strategies and debating; application of the tools through training in case study processing, adaptation of learning strategies and appearance in social networks as well as the "do's and don'ts" in recruiting.

Students work in groups to develop a startup idea, prototype and marketing strategy.

Module Examination:Continuous Assessment (MCA)
Assessment Mode for Module Examination:
  • Maintaining an online learning diary, 5 pages in total, individual performance (30%)
  • Presentation of a topic as a group, 10 minutes, handout included (40%)
  • Essay, 10 pages, group performance (30%)
Evaluation of Module Examination:Performance Verification – graded
