Learning Outcome:The bioeconomy is an interdisciplinary field that combines ecological, social and economic dimensions in order to develop sustainable solutions for the challenges of the 21st century.
This module offers students the opportunity to gain an overview of the numerous topics of the bioeconomy and to promote an awareness of sustainability.
Contents:Basic knowledge of the bioeconomy:
- Knowledge of bio-based value chains
- Innovations in the bio-based economy
- Biorefineries and biotechnological products
- Processing of biofuels
- Utilization of waste streams
- Environmentally friendly products made from renewable raw materials
- National bioeconomy strategy.
