Learning Outcome:After completing the module, students are able to write a summary of a research article and are able to critically review other participant’s articles. In addition, they are able to give constructive feedback and are able to adequately respond to comments.
Contents:In this course, participants will perform tasks that would give them a brief idea about scientific writing and peer reviewing. The course consists of three assignments which will be graded continuously. 
  • In the first assignment, the participants will have to write a research highlight (1000 words) of a scientific paper.
  • In the second assignment, each participant will be critically reviewing another participant’s article and leave comments and suggestions for revision.
  • Finally, in the third assignment, the participant will be responding to the comments and/or suggestions on their article.

  • Knowledge of Basic Cell Biology

  2. Reviewing a Research Highlight, 700-1000 words (25%)
  3. Response to the review, 700-1000 words (25%)
