Learning Outcome:

After completing the module, students will be able to:

  • use ChatGPT and similar tools in a targeted manner to address typical challenges in their studies
  • design learning processes, texts, and communication efficiently
  • independently overcome linguistic barriers in an academic context using AI tools
  • critically reflect on the functioning and limitations of AI tools
Contents:

The module provides practical skills for using ChatGPT and similar AI tools to support academic studies. The focus is on the efficient use of artificial intelligence to optimize learning processes, academic work, organization, and communication. Special emphasis is placed on reducing language barriers and promoting academic success through practical, everyday applications.

  • Introduction to ChatGPT and AI tools in the higher education context
  • Prompting
  • AI support for learning and exams
  • Language support: translation, simplification, and text optimization
  • Assistance with academic writing
  • Coding and data analysis
  • Critical and ethical use of AI: limitations, data protection, and academic integrity
  • Practical exercises based on real university scenarios

  • Access to a personal computer with an internet connection is required.
