| Learning Outcome: | Having successfully passed the module students understand the classical and current debates in urban and regional sociology and evaluate their relevance for critically analysing and interpreting the spatial dynamics of current social, political and economic developments in urban and regional contexts. |
| Contents: | This module engages with theoretical and empirical debates in urban and regional sociology, drawing on both seminal and current scholarship. It brings together classical texts and contemporary discussions to critically explore, explain and discuss the spatial dynamics and implications of current social, political and economic developments and challenges (such as inequality, sustainability etc.) in urban and regional contexts. The module intends to bridge the gap between theoretical engagement and empirical observation. |
