Learning Outcome: | This module is aimed to generate a basic understanding of the complexity of architecture, space and urban planning in relation to world heritage sites. A first insight into a wide range of different architectural and urban design topics is meant to enable students to an initial understanding and judgement of architectural and urban environments. |
Contents: | The module is on the one hand focused on the imparting of basic structural and construction related knowledge as well as a first approach to architectural tools and media and the basic understanding of architectural, urban and spatial concepts. It furthermore deals with the application and deepening of the gained knowledge. With the help of examples architectural, spatial and urban design concepts will be analysed with regard to their design determining factors and conceptional and spatial qualities. The result will be a first valuation of the examined concepts. |
