| Learning Outcome: | After attending the module, students will have a basic understanding of environmental and sustainability management. Especially, they: - Understand the relevance of environmental protection and sustainability for corporations;
- Contextualize the historical development of sustainability and the implications for corporations;
- Understand critical terms and concepts in sustainability within the corporate context;
- Have developed an understanding of how to build up a sustainability management in a corporation;
- Understand the use of tools and management systems for environmental and sustainability management;
- Understand the most important legal frameworks influencing environmental and sustainability management in corporations

| Contents: | - Concepts of sustainability as guidelines for corporations
- The history of sustainability and implications for corporations
- Laws and regulations for environmental protection and sustainability and their implications for corporations
- Integrated sustainability management in corporations
- Evaluation and measuring tools (e.g., life cycle assessment), indicators for ecological performance, and environmental accounting
- Management tools and standardisation of management tools: EMAS, DIN ISO 14000
- Sustainability and environmental protection communications, reports, labels, terms
