Learning Outcome:The students will be able to work with the tools, instruments, methodology and techniques of the production and operations management. With the help of practical exercises they will solve typical problems encountered in the classical management science and also in the environmental projects.
Contents:Presentation of the participants and their project ideas (selection of the participants’ case studies), project cycle management, objectives orientated project planning, participation analysis, problem analysis, objectives analysis, selection of the project strategy, project planning matrix, definition of what a project strategy is expected to achieve, definition of goals, output and activities, selection and definition of objectively verifiable indicators, external factors and assumptions, monitoring of a project in order to assist in steering projects – how to establish a monitoring plan or a monitoring system for the internal project management, monitoring of the project’s progress – monitoring and the project design, in the project organization, the cooperation with the target groups, the project environment, impact monitoring of outputs and activities, spot-analysis – a tool of internal project evaluation.

The POM Class will be a mixture of theoretical explanations and outlines to focus quickly on a huge variety of study cases to be worked on by the students.
