Heritage Heroes – Preserving World Heritage Together

This exhibition tells the stories of individuals, who represent many others beyond themselves, actively engaging in the protection of our cultural and natural World Heritage.
Each exhibition panel is dedicated to one person.

The "Heritage Heroes" were interviewed and photographed in the period from 29 April to 1 June 2015 at the sites of their activity or in transit.

The exhibition was created in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office and the German UNESCO Commission and was shown for the first time in 2015 at the meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Bonn.

In addition, on the second floor of the ICMC there is a small book exhibition from the holdings of the University Library that has been selected and curated to match the exhibition.
