C3 Word for science
Microsoft Office Word is a word processing programme offering many features to help you write your academic paper. For instance, you can use style sheets to create a consistent layout and automatically generate a table of contents. There are also a few things to keep in mind when inserting images. You can even move entire chapters or link to them elsewhere in the text.
Comments and suggested changes made by a proofreader can also be displayed. You can then choose whether to accept or reject each suggestion.
Help your readers to quickly find the chapter they want by adding a table of contents when you create the PDF. This will then be displayed in the 'Bookmarks' area and can be clicked on.
The course is currently available as a self-study option in German, with videos, exercises and assignments on the Moodle learning platform (version winter semester 2025/26). You can choose what to watch and try out. An English version is in the planning stage.
The IT Services department is responsible for the campus licence for Microsoft Office programmes.
