Events about FDM
We would like to invite you to the 69th Helmholtz Open Science Online Seminar on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (CEST). Our speaker, Julieta Arancio, social scientist and community organizer in the field of open science, particularly in open hardware, will speak about "Open Hardware: Bringing scientific instruments back into the open science conversation“.
The event will be held in English and will be conducted via Zoom. The presentation will be followed by a question and discussion slot.
The public event is open to all interested persons; to participate in the free event, please register in advance via the following link: https://gfz-potsdam-de.zoom-x.de/meeting/register/u50sduGgrz8jGdC5ZDD4MRI5nNOKnbXcZReS

Good Research Data Management (RDM) is essential to ensure that your research data is FAIR (Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable). In this two-day course we will take you through the basics of RDM while applying these to a chemistry context.
NFDI4Chem organizes this workshop for all interested chemists. The workshop will be held in English and is open to anyone in Germany who wishes to take part.

The Data Train training program focusses on teaching various competencies of research data management and data science and is offered to doctoral researchers across institutes and disciplines. If places are available, post-doctoral researchers and advanced students are welcome to register for different courses. The „Starter Track“ is open to anyone interested. Participation is free of charge.
The program starts with an overview lecture series – the „Starter Track“ – from January to May on various disciplines improving your data skills. It is initiated each January with an official Kick-off Event and Get-together. From June to December each year, the two Operator Tracks alternate, i.e. the „Data Steward“ and the „Data Scientist“, which are composed of hands-on workshops using diverse computational analysis methods. We also regularly offer „Data Stories“, which are invited talks from industry and academia.
Data Train is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
