Events with a sustainability focus

At the BTU, there are lecture series for the public in various formats: The Children's University with lectures for children in grades 3-6, the Pupils' University and the Science Academy for pupils in grades 7-13, the Open BTU lecture series and the Senior Citizens' Academy. There are also always topics related to sustainability, such as climate change and the future of bees.

On September 26 and 27, 2024, the Lusatian Future Forum on Land Use will take place in Cottbus for the first time. With this event, the Land-Innovation-Lausitz (LIL) research alliance aims to focus on future-oriented land use in Lusatia and beyond. The focus of the event is on the exchange of information between the interest groups.

Aminophosphonates - We use them every day. Whether in detergents, dishwashing detergents, cosmetics or shampoos, without phosphonates these products would lose quality and, above all, their performance. But what happens to them after use? Do they harm the environment?
