Law & Economics
Content
Law & Economics discusses the relationship between legal norms, constitutional rules and economic outcomes. Efficiency and equity concerns both play a role.
In this module, we will discuss the fundamental theoretical approach of Law & Economics as well as applications to the theory of property rights, tort law, and criminal law. Issues such as the role of intellectual property will be discussed, as well as the long-run impact of formal and informal institutions on economic development.
