Aminophosphonates & Environment

International symposium Aminophosphonates and the environment

Main focus

In the last ten years, numerous research papers have been published dealing with either the chemical degradation, analytical challenges or deciphering the enzymatic degradation of phosphonates. Scientists are often only able to concentrate fully on one field of study, which means that far-reaching relationships may not be fully understood. Novel developments in the chair may be overlooked or not fully incorporated into further studies by third parties.

An interdisciplinary exchange of current findings, for example on the identification and quantification of phosphonates in difficult sample matrices, determination of the fate of phosphonates in agriculture and their potential biodegradation as well as the identification of key enzymes of different microbial degradation strategies is the overarching goal of the international symposium. In addition, an interdisciplinary exchange in the fields of aquatic biology with regard to phosphonates and industrial phosphonates is also an important topic.

We welcome the submission of original papers, reviews, mini-reviews and perspective articles on key topics such as

  1. Analysis of phosphonates
  2. Phosphonates in agriculture
  3. Photodegradation
  4. Biodegradability
  5. Aquatic phosphonates
  6. Industrial phosphonates
