Above the clouds...now students can experience what it's like to pilot an airplane! The Newton Flight Academy Brandenburg was officially opened on July 1.

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier traveled to Lusatia with the diplomatic corps and stopped off at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Here he gained an insight into the research and transfer activities of the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco).

A milestone for the future of mobility - The research factory of the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco) was opened with Minister President Woidke, Science Minister Schüle and State Secretary Kellner

The set up of the chesco research factory is progressing steadily. A lot was done in the fall: pipes were laid, power cables were pulled and many new machines were delivered. We present a few of them here.

State Secretary Dr. Friederike Haase, who is responsible for Lusatia in the State Chancellery, today handed over the notice of approval for the second funding application in chesco. More than 25 BTU departments are researching hybrid-electric and electric systems together with an interdisciplinary partner network.
