Workshop in ML and Rhino

Intro to ML for the AEC with rhino/gh.

Registration here.

In recent years there has been a surge of software and methods for architects and designers to extend their creative power and make pretty much any form or creative thought on their workstations. But, everything looks perfect on the screen until it is time to put it into operation on site.
This means some feasibility and fabrication checks need to be done to reduce not just building costs, but construction time, logistics & overall comfort parameters of the design.
In a couple of examples, we will cover topics like complex roof fabrication/panelisation, facade structuring or spatial planing in order to get designs the optimisations they need to become fully feasible for production and construction. This includes getting into topics like clustering and classification methods, or single/multi-objective optimisation to achieve our goals.

The workshop will also include a intro lecture to optimisation and core machine learning concepts to
familiarise yourselves with the general topics. The costs of the workshop for students is 10€ and for all others 20€. We will start at 9:00 and finish at 12:00 on Friday, the 11. October.

Software used: Rhino/gh with LunchboxML/Owl, Octopus/silvereye, Heteroptera, Elefront

Hope to see you there!
