About me

I am a Junior Researcher and a member of the Chair of IT Security at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. I studied Computer Science with a focus on cybersecurity at the University of Calabria, Italy, where I developed a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices.

Research Interests

My research focuses on cybersecurity, particularly in the areas of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and the generation of synthetic attack datasets. These activities aim to improve the evaluation and testing of IDS technologies. I am also interested in methodologies to simulate realistic network traffic to analyze and enhance the detection capabilities of security systems.

Projects

I am currently involved in the Energy Innovation Center project, in particularly the COSYS-Lab, where I work on developing synthetic cyberattacks to evaluate Intrusion Detection Systems in a controlled and fair environment. My tasks include designing and implementing simulations of representative network attacks, leveraging statistical methods to ensure the realism and relevance of the generated datasets.
