About me

I am a research assistant at the Chair of IT Security at BTU. I hold a Master’s degree in Cyber Security and have a background in telecommunications, IT infrastructure, and industrial systems. Before joining BTU, I gained practical experience in the operation and maintenance of IT environments, including Linux and Windows servers, virtualization platforms, SQL databases, structured cabling, and network infrastructure. My current work combines cybersecurity with industrial and communication systems, with a particular interest in secure monitoring architectures, digital twins, and practical testbed implementations.

Research Interests

My research interests focus on the cybersecurity of industrial and cyber-physical systems. In particular, I am interested in secure digital twin architectures, edge-based monitoring, communication security, and the integration of sensors, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and visualization platforms for industrial environments.

Projects

Since 2025, I have been involved in the Control Systems and Cyber Security Lab (COSYS Lab) as part of the Energy Innovation Center project. My work focuses on building and evaluating practical laboratory setups that combine physical devices, virtual Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), sensors, actuators, and communication.
