This module offers students a critical and applied understanding of cultural management within international contexts, equipping them to analyse the political, economic, and organisational dynamics shaping cultural institutions today. It consists of four core areas: analytical perspectives on the forces shaping cultural institutions; knowledge practices based on curatorial and intellectual methods for everyday work within cultural institutions; managerial techniques for financial planning, funding acquisition, project development and institutional communication; and the development of disciplinary expertise in specific artistic or intellectual fields.
